Next, Brussels
Brussels may be the political heart of Europe but Belgium‘s capital city beats with creative energy and a history that runs deep. Its art galleries and museums are some of the worlds’ best. Among them are the Magritte Museum and the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
Throughout the city, you can trace Brussels’ heritage across grand monuments like the Royal Palace. Then eat your way through its culinary specialities: pillowy waffles, hand-cut frites and smooth pralinés.

Step into Belgium's royal history
Since Belgium’s independence in 1830, Brussels’ Royal Palace has remained the official working residence of the Belgian monarchy. Marvel at its grand neoclassical facade as you hear tales of royalty. Beyond, stroll stately streets and magnificent squares.
Walk beneath the plane trees of the Royal Park, the former hunting grounds for the Dukes of Brabant. Then discover the history behind the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula, thought to date back to the 8th or 9th century.

During your stay, base yourself in the centre. You’ll be perfectly positioned to experience the wonders of Cologne. From here, walk across the Hohenzollern Bridge to admire hundreds of love locks. Or stand in awe of the Cologne Cathedral whose filigree twin spires dominate the skyline.

Wind through Zurich by tuk tuk

Enjoy a panoramic rail journey to Arth-Goldau before swapping to Europe’s oldest cogwheel train to ascend Mount Rigi. A pair of gentle St. Bernard dogs greet you at the top.
