Hotel Le Dune Piscinas

Hotel Le Dune Piscinas stands on a 47-km stretch of Sardinia’s wild coastline on the wide sands of Piscinas. Originally built in the 1950s and later restored, the hotel has retained a low architectural profile that sits discreetly among a dune field, surrounded by strawberry bushes, gorse and old-growth junipers. Rooms and suites are arranged to look out over the sea or gardens, with many opening onto terraces with views of the dunes, where Sardinian deer can often be spotted. The interior design is intentionally restrained to natural materials like stone and painted wood, keeping the focus on Italy’s natural light and sea views.

Accommodation is spread across three buildings, each offering views and furnished with natural materials that bring the local landscape to the fore. Marble floors are from local quarries, and wrought iron and wood accents complement the coastal terrain.

The hotel’s spa has massage rooms, a large purifying sauna overlooking the dunes, an emotional shower and indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces framed by dune light and breeze, alongside a Technogym. You can also swim in the outdoor pool, which overlooks the sea, or go for a walk on one of the sand paths that lead down to the secluded beach.

Part of the experience is connecting to the landscape and culture through guided boat trips to hidden coves along the Costa Verde, quadbike or e-bike excursions along inland trails. Food and conviviality also take shape by the sea. The hotel has three restaurants and an American bar, with menus celebrating local produce and Sardinian culinary traditions.
