Waitomo Boutique Lodge

Waitomo Boutique Hotel sits on 2,500 acres of private land and is part of Montrose Farm, whose name means ‘farm of top of the mountain’. This working farm has been in existence since the early 1900s and although it is tucked away in the peaceful countryside, it is only 30 minutes from the Waitomo Caves and a 2.5-hour drive from Auckland.

Accommodation options include the self-contained Montrose Cottage, luxury guest rooms in the main lodge and The Loft, which is perfect for families. The lodge was built using natural materials including native matai wood for the flooring and New Zealand wool for the carpets. You’ll also find local Waitomo Spa toiletries in the bathrooms.

Farm-to-table dining is the focus here and much of the produce comes straight from the kitchen garden and orchards. During your stay you’ll also enjoy home baking, fresh from the kitchen.

You’re ideally situated to enjoy this incredible part of New Zealand’s North Island, and from the lodge you’ll enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views that span over 200km.
