Six Senses Ninh Van Bay

Sublime natural seclusion in an unforgettable setting
In true Six Senses style, the 62 chic, eco-luxe villas at Ninh Van Bay near Nha Trang are sustainably built, perfectly private and redefine the term ‘barefoot luxury’. This resort focuses on the conservation of the wildlife in the area, paying special attention to the rare endangered monkeys and the coral reefs, and partaking in an array of programmes to go beyond environmental requirements and support the greater community.
Thatched roofs, deep wooden baths and natural linens create an earthy feel that instantly transports you to a feeling of truly being away from it all without compromising on modern comforts – you’ll even have a dedicated Guest Experience Maker to enhance your stay. The in-villa wine fridge ensures that you have the perfect accompaniment to laidback evenings on the private terrace with panoramic sea views.
There are several enticing dining options – the romantic special occasion spot Dining by the Rocks serves contemporary Western fare on a secluded hilltop, while you can enjoy Vietnamese favourites and fresh seafood with a sea breeze and Dining by the Bay. The resort also offers destination dining, where you can pick from a range of locations including a wine cave and grandma’s kitchen.
Indulge in a variety of activities from hiking and tennis to island hopping and scuba diving in and around the bay, where you can see the resort’s coral restoration project in action. The impact of your stay:
- Your stay supports research into and protection of the unique habitats around the resort. Through the resort’s Sustainability Fund, ongoing research has helped uncover new plant species, safeguard heritage cycads and support the recovery of the critically endangered Black-Shanked Douc Langur, whose population has nearly doubled since 2019. In partnership with GreenViet NGO, Six Senses Ninh Van Vay continues to restore forests and watersheds by removing wildlife traps and planting thousands of native trees and mangroves.
- You can witness conservation in action through the resort’s coral restoration programmes, launched after Typhoon Damrey. Today, its thriving coral gardens have even seen the first recorded coral spawning event in Ninh Van Bay – a milestone for regional marine science. Explore these underwater ecosystems on a guided snorkelling excursion as you follow a marine biologist, or learn more through interactive environmental workshops.
- A percentage of resort revenue goes into the Sustainability Fund, which serves to empower local communities. The fund provides opportunities for development such as scholarships, clean water, English classes and wellness programmes for vulnerable groups. The hotel’s collaboration with the Sustainable Hospitality Fellowship helps mentor young people, inspiring a new generation to build a promising future for Vietnam.

Places to combine Six Senses Ninh Van Bay with

Con Dao
Situated in the 16-island Con Dao archipelago in southern Vietnam, Six Senses Con Dao stays true to the collection’s philosophy of choosing remote destinations in areas of natural beauty for their chic and sustainable properties. Part of a protected national and marine park, the resort makes every effort to protect its surrounding natural environment, support the local community and educate its guests about wildlife conservation.
Across the property, fifty luxury split-level villas each come with private infinity plunge pools, panoramic ocean views, a dedicated butler service and a terrace with sun loungers. All contemporary comforts are catered for, including a Bose sound system and bicycles to help you explore.
There’s also a main hotel pool, and a mile-long stretch of private sandy beach with the dramatic backdrop of the Lo Voi Mountains. From the beach, you can enjoy non-motorised watersports, and what the resort promises to be the best snorkelling in Vietnam.
Back on land, the Six Senses spa promises a range of therapeutic treatments as well as yoga and meditation. You can also golf off a deck overlooking the sea, with golf balls that are biodegradable. We recommend taking part in an ethical turtle hatchling release experience as part of the resort’s commitment to sea turtle conservation and ocean stewardship.
For dining, a choice of two restaurants and two bars offer local favourites and flavours, while you can also enjoy barbecues and picnics in a setting of your choice. Ingredients for dishes are sourced from the resort’s organic garden and the profits of mineral water, which is sold throughout the resort, goes towards the establishment of a mineral water supply for children at a local school.
