On Cape Yamu, one of Phuket’s most beautiful peninsulas, the completely private Bay Villa 15 is a contemporary residence with wonderful views of the island from its cliff-side position.
The villa itself is split into two pavilions connected by an open-air walkway. Five large en suite bedrooms are split between them, as are open plan living and dining spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, small gym and an office space, with teakwood floors throughout, chic furnishings and selected artworks inside.
Glass walls look out to a spectacular infinity pool, terrace area, tropical gardens and Andaman sea beyond. You’ll also find a perfect BBQ spot to watch the sun set over the island and hot tub outside.
You’ll be looked after by three staff, with an on-site chef to prepare delicious Thai and western cuisine. While you may not have direct access to a beach from the villa, you are well located to explore the island and just 25 minutes from the airport.

Tucked away on the fringes of Khao Sok National Park, one of Thailand’s most ancient and biodiverse rainforests, Thanyamundra Organic Resort offers an intimate sanctuary with nine guestrooms. The setting is mesmerising: a patchwork of cultivated organic farmland gently gives way to dense jungle, while mist drifts across rolling emerald hills in the early morning.
Two teakwood residences, built in traditional Thai style, house the guest rooms. Within, antique furnishings add a sense of heritage and handwoven textiles bring warmth and colour.
Begin with yoga at dawn or a leisurely walk among rice paddies and vegetable gardens, before setting out to discover the wonders of the rainforest. Back at the resort, the infinity pool seemingly spills into the surrounding hills. From here, the horizon becomes a living panorama of forest, farmland and sky, shifting in colour as the day passes from morning to the glow of sunset. The spa provides another form of retreat, where traditional Thai treatments restore balance after a day outdoors.
