Amanzi Camp

Amanzi Camp sits directly on the banks of the Ngwenya channel – the name means water in the Tonga language and draws inspirations from the site’s intimate position on the Zambezi.

The rustic yet luxurious camp consists of just spacious four tents on raised teak decks. The tents have large double beds, an indoor shower and bathroom, as well as a private sitting area and balcony overlooking the Zambezi. Windows are gauze instead of glass, allowing for a complete connection with the wilderness outside.

The camp is intimate yet private with the tents generously spaced and connected with a raised walkway to the main area. Two of the tents can be configured as a family tent which makes it perfect for small groups and families wanting to share an experience in this beautiful part of the world.

The main area offers stunning views over the Ngwenya channel and a mosaic of islands that are home to a group of elephant bulls. The main area has an infinity pool a sun deck and a dining area.

Accompanied by knowledgeable and experienced guides, activities here include day and night game drives, walking safaris, canoeing on the Zambezi, fishing, bird watching and day trips down the Mapata Gorge.
