The beauty of Nasikia Luxury Mobile Camp is that, as its name suggests, it moves. The camp alternates between two sites – one in the north and one in the south of the Serengeti.

The reason for the moving is that it can be close to where the best of the wildlife action should be at that time of year. In the Serengeti most of the wildlife action is in the south from about December to March, then moves north and west, and ends up in the north of the park between about July and October.

From this excellent base you will be able to enjoy some stunning wildlife experiences with your guide, on morning and afternoon/evening game drives. We also take time to enjoy bush lunches, and sundowner drinks and nibbles are a must as the sunsets over the Serengeti.

There are 8-12 (depending on the season) large en-suite tents with netted windows. Double, twin, single, triple and family (quad) tents are available. The beds all have mosquito nets. The bathroom has a hot bucket shower and there is a flushing toilet. Lighting in camp is a mix of candles, kerosene lamps and solar lights.

There is a large dining tent where meals are taken, but sometimes bush breakfasts or picnic lunches are a nice way to enjoy the wilderness too.

Obviously the versatility of the camp’s location means that there is nothing permanent about this camp. It is a simple yet very comfortable camp, with proper beds, and you are treated to great food and service by your camp staff.

If you want to be out in the midst of the wilderness of the Serengeti, this is certainly one camp to consider.
