Kwihala Camp

An intimate camp in the exclusive, game rich Mbagi Forest area of Ruaha, Kwihala is set deep in the bush on a hillside with fabulous views over the surrounding park with unparalleled access to the park’s large populations of big cats, buffalo and elephant.

There are just six tents, each furnished in simple but elegant safari style, with comfortable en-suite bathrooms and safari bucket shower. Gauze-screened windows allow the beauty of the surroundings to take centre stage, and shaded private verandas provide the perfect spot to watch the game as it passes through camp.

The social hub of the camp is the tented a lounge and dining room. Hearty homemade meals are shared either under canvas or in the alfresco dining area beside the campfire, accompanied only by the stirring night sounds of the bush.

Ruaha’s wildlife is extraordinary, and you will most likely not come across any other vehicles during expertly guided day and night game drives, or on walking safaris and hikes.
