The hotel that inspired Hotel Rwanda

The inspiration for the film, Hotel Rwanda, Hôtel des Mille Collines became a sanctuary for more than 700 Tutsis in 1994.

Set in downtown Kigali, the hotel features 112 rooms with views of the city or garden. Three restaurants and two bars will keep you refreshed and the gardens and terrace are the perfect place to enjoy a drink and some time out.

When you need to relax and unwind, take a dip in the outdoor pool, play tennis or recharge your batteries in the spa. You’re also ideally located to explore the city, with the Genocide Memorial Centre, the Natural History Museum and the Stade Amahoro close by.
