This was the first time I'd used Jacada Travel to arrange a trip. Mine was to South America (Chile) and Antarctica. From the very beginning,.they took the time to work with me coordinating dates/times, since they were working with another company for the Antarctic portion. After many attempts they were finally able to find me a spot on a cruise. Their hard work gave me confidence that I'd selected the right company to handle the details of my trip. After that their agents were always keeping me informed and went out of their way to answers my many questions all while keeping a professional, friendly attitude. Later on, when a hiccup occurred in the planned return from the Antarctic, by the time I'd contacted their emergency number, I found they were already aware of the situation and had begun arranging alternate flight options. They also had readjusted my land activities that had been to follow in Chile afterwards. I would 100% recommend Jacada Travel to anyone considering one of their destination packages. I know they will get the special, personal attention I got from beginning to the end. All they'll then have to do is sit back and enjoy the fun knowing things are in good hands with Jacada Travel.

Everything promised on our tour of Ngorongoro, Lake Minyadi, and the Serengeti was delivered. Jacada's services to arrange the tour, provide all information in advance and then deliver were outstanding.
Tessa even provided a hotel day room for our layover in Nairobi that was not part of the tour.
My husband and I recently traveled to Thailand for our honeymoon on a Jacada Travel trip. We had such an amazing time and this trip exceeded our expectations. All of the hotels and places we visited were so special and beautiful. The private guides we had at the beginning of our trip were so kind and knowledgable. It was exactly what we hoped for. Keith from Jacada did a great job personalizing our trip based off of the things that were important to us and we would not have changed a thing. We traveled to 4 different places within the country and all our domestic transfers and travel details were seamless and perfectly executed. The trip was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation and we hope to use Jacada again for our next adventure!
Jacada are an excellent choice for bespoke travel planning to Chile and Argentina. We found them very flexible and responsive to all our questions and wishes and the trip was a great success covering all the things we wanted to see. My husband wanted the opportunity to do some photography and Emily and Berni found people in the various locations that could help and take us out at sunrise/sunset. Also when the unexpected happened (my phone was stolen in Santiago), they really were terrific. The guide that Jacada had sourced helped with reporting to the police running a long way over the time he was scheduled to be with us. On another occasion when arriving at a hotel at 8pm to be told our room was not ready, their 24 hour emergency number came in very handy to have a Spanish speaker on the end of the line to discuss with the reception staff and ensured the room was sorted immediately.

From my first phone conversation about why we wanted to plan a family trip to Argentina to our arrival back home in the States, working with Jacada was a wonderful experience. We tweaked our itinerary until it was perfectly planned for our family (traveling with children 11, 9, and 6 to Argentina for two weeks). We had some medical issues while we were there and our needs were met immediately with help from both our Argentinian connection through Jacada, as well as the incredible local people. Each of our guides was knowledgable and interesting. Traveling with three small children comes with challenges (some expected, some not), and Jacada met all of our needs pretty seamlessly. We will for sure use Jacada to plan our next adventure!
Jacada does a superb job. I've been traveling around the world for over 40 years for business and for pleasure and Jacada is one of the best. Recently my husband and I and my cousins travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia. First there was a review of our initial thoughts, dates , capabilities, interests and ideas with Rachel O'Leary the Senior Travel designer for Southeast Asia. She listened and then designed an amazing experience for a 19 day trip. Once we agreed on the details, Gloria To based in Hong Kong added the finishing touches such as restaurant reservations. Everything was perfect. There was someone to meet us at every airport and all the guide companies that they used in each country were top-notch and extremely knowledgeable. All the connections and reservations went smoothly. Jacada can work with different budget levels and really design a personalized experience. All the pre-planning was very smooth. They were always available for any questions or changes and provided a lot of information prior to the trip. Then Jacada checked in at various stages just to make sure everything was on track. An amazing experience and I would highly recommend their services.

We decided in late August to book a trip to Costa Rica for our family. As we suspected, it was a bit late to be planning such an adventure and not everything was easily falling into place. Through our research we came across the Jacada Travel website. We had never used a travel company before, but decided to reach out for assistance. After submitting an inquiry, we received a response nearly immediately from Susann, one of their Latin American specialists. From that moment on, everything went so smoothly. She warned us that it might be too difficult to get reservations at such a late date, but she managed to secure two beautiful properties in different areas of the country - giving us a wonderfully varied experience within the ten days we were able to travel. The entire trip was so well organized. We were provided with a very thorough travel kit that covered all details. Every tour and excursion we took was perfect - the guides informative and fun, making each experience relaxing, educational and full of adventure. I can’t say enough about Jacada Travel. They were amazing all throughout early brainstorming, trip planning, and then support during the trip as things changed. They had tremendous knowledge of the various regions and it resulted in a trip that was perfectly catered to our needs...including all of the movement and logistics through the trip. We really did an EPIC trip. And on the cost side they were fair and transparent.
Jacada planned a wonderful, seamless honeymoon that we'll remember forever! We have never used a travel agency before, and are so glad that we did for our three-country Southeast Asia trip. Jacada took away all the stress of planning a logistically complex trip, and their in-country partners and guides were all lovely and knowledgeable. My family and I went to Japan in December 2019. We visited Tokyo, Takayama, Shirakawa-go and Hakone. It was an extremely wonderful trip. Our stay at Takayama at Hidatei Hanaougi was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended. We had lots of excellent eating experiences, thanks to the restaurant recommendations and reservation made by Jacada during the busy holiday month. Our guides were wonderful and gave us unique experiences wherever we went. The Drum Tao performance at the Alternative Theatre is a must-see.
Overall, excellent experience from the planning & preparation stage and actual trip itself. We received useful information and advice ahead of the trip, allowing us to make adjustments. Jacada went out of their way to accommodate our needs. On-the-ground staff and guide were excellent and extremely helpful. Very thoughtful in creating a pleasant birthday surprise for the family.
We recently returned from a 2 weeks’ long trip from Peru, a place which we knew nothing of but upon a spectacular and memorable honeymoon organised by Jacada.
The trip began in Lima, where we spent two good days exploring the city filled with vibrant colours and rich exotic cuisine.Not only were we fascinated to learn about the country’s history - the Chilean war and the 80s terrorism - we were also very lucky to have been paired with Elisa, who was passionate about her country’s history. We particularly enjoyed our meal at Isolina, where Diego ordered practically the entire menu for us to try! We loved that a true foodie took us around on the culinary tour as he knew all the good local places around Barranco. Just by watching him eat sparks joy!
Sacred Valley, the Skylodge adventure and Machu Picchu were definitely the highlights of our trip.The first thing we did as we arrived was the horse back riding where we rode up the hills of Sacred Valley which helped set the scene for the upcoming week in this rural, untouched part of the country. We learnt that the majority of the population worshipped Pachamama and it really resonated with us for the entire time we spent in Peru.We absolutely adored Soy y Luna - the hotel and staff were so welcoming and they made our stay extra special.
The Skylodge climb was pure fun. We learnt that the youngest child who climbed the mountain that way was only 4 years old and the oldest was 78 years old! The view up at the cliff is breathtaking - especially at night where it’s pitch black. [Note to future climbers: Remember to move the drapes from the ceiling of the pod to get a 360 view of the stars! The other two couples did not and they really missed out!! ] Also huge kudos to Jess and Omar who made sure we got the nicest pod AND planned a mini surprise session with the local Shaman.We loved that extra touch. I mean - the trip just couldn’t get any better. Everything was personalised and we were so well taken care of.
We originally intended to hike the Inca Trail but were very glad to have taken Jess’ recommendation to travel to Aguas Caliente by the Vistadome.Loved that we had a two-day pass to visit Machu Picchu - first day to learn about the history and the second to do some light hiking. We didn’t find the hotel staff at the Sumac hotel particularly helpful - we were checked into a room with two single beds which caught us by surprise considering we were on our honeymoon. We requested to change rooms but was informed that the hotel was full on the phone. We asked at the concierge again after dinner and was then told we could move across the hall for a double bed room. Despite the hotel, our trip to Machu Picchu was far beyond our expectations!
At Cusco we indulged ourselves in the historical and magical city with the food and culture.The city really captured our hearts and credits goes to our exceptional guide, Hans.He was so passionate about the Incans history, by the end of our stay in Cusco we were able to tell between an original and a modern Incan architecture. We must admit, most of the days we were just so tired we skipped the dinners that were organised for us except for LIMO and we would've loved to sit next to the window side :) We did go to the chocolate museum (was actually a lot more fun than we expected it to be) and of course the Pisco sour museum where Tinghin got drunk … The Monestario hotel was wonderful though the Andean Explorer was even better! We spent an unforgettable countdown to 2020 on the train and was greet by a huge set of fireworks as we parked into the Puno station.
Titilaka was our second favourite hotel (after Sol y Luna) We went offline for two whole days (no telly in the hotel) read, connected with the nature, with each other and went to bed very early :p
Ending our trip at Paracas was such a good choice! After all the cold and rain, we were ready for some sun and heat.We had a slight delay flying out from Cusco to Paracas and the only cafe at the airport was under renovation, fortunately, the hotel guide who sent us to the airport made sure we got a VIP pass into the mini lounge for coffee and light snacks during the delay - which was really helpful! It was a rather long journey from Lima back to Paracas but Sheila made sure we were well taken care of. We wish we could've spent more time around Paracas and the hotel but we know we’ll do that the next time we visit.
We had the most fantastic time of our lives in Peru and we thank Jess, Omar and Jacada for pulling this trip together for us; for putting in the time to know us to make sure we’re matched with the best guides, best itinerary. I remember at one point of this trip I got so overwhelmed by the fun I was having and history i was learning i got worried for the next day and kept telling Tinghin I was afraid our trip’s peaked already but I was wrong - Peru had so much to offer and you planned it so well, we were always looking forward to the next day while feeling sad to be counting down the days. By the end of the trip we’ve lost count of the ceviches and pisco sours we’ve tasted but this trip will forever be imprinted in our memories and hearts. We recently returned from an Arctic Adventure in Sweden arranged by Jacada Travel and had such an exciting time. Everyone at Jacada, especially Hanna Fischer, Heather Evans, and Hanna Partridge, was so helpful with planning the trip catered to our wants and needs. Once in Sweden, our guides were the best, informative and friendly. We enjoyed dogsledding, ice fishing, and snowmobiling while staying in the finest accommodation with delicious meals. We enjoyed a trip to Costa Rica over Xmas and New Year 2019, arranged by Jacada Travel. The trip covered 5 different locations over 2 weeks. The locations and lodges were very well chosen - and the whole trip ran like clockwork - there was transport to meet us at every location- even when the local planes were an hour or two late. High marks all round.
Our trip was excellent from start to finish. No detail was left to chance. From our hotels to our dinners and drivers/guides, everything was first class. I would use Jacada again without hesitation.

All in all, our trip to SE Asia was great. The real key to success was that we didn't do more than 3 hours of temples/sight seeing at a time. So, adding the more active components was a major win for us: kept everyone busy and added diversity into the experience. About 3 hours of sightseeing is about the limit our kids could do. So, having the great variety of experiences in the trip and having a bit of downtime for us in the evenings was a big win.

We have just returned from a 18 day trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. Overall, I was very happy with the trip and how it was organized. Sarah from Jacada listened to our likes and dislikes and put together an amazing trip. I wanted to rate this 5 stars, but a few things stopped me:
1 - The quality of the guides were inconsistent. Most were very good, but you could tell who was really passionate about their work and who wasn't.
2 - I felt like some of the tour content, especially in Hanoi could have been better. For example, we spent precious hours in queues waiting to visit the mausoleum holding the embalmed body of Ho Chi Min but we missed some key sites in Hanoi as a result.
3 - Sometimes we wanted time on our own, and the guides seemed to feel like if they left us they would get into trouble. Better coordination on our time with the guides would have been good.
4 - Not having any sort of breakdown of the trip may be good in some ways, but not knowing how much we paid for an event or service (e.g. the guides) didn't give us any sort of metric of expectations. I would have liked to know how much I should demand from them and when I was receiving just what I paid for.
5 - We booked our trip about 8 months before traveling, but our internal flight connections were less than ideal. Sarah did warn us about this beforehand, but while I was in the area, I was able to find inexpensive flight choices with better schedules (e.g. direct).
6 - Jacada met my expectations with the itinerary, and Sarah did make suggestions which I wish I had listened to beforehand. I can say she knew better about the area and what to do and see more than we did do my lesson for the future would be to listen more carefully to the suggestions of their travel advisors.
We worked with Jacada (Hanna and Heather) for our family trip to Finland (9 persons in total spanning three generations, including two children ages 9 and 6). They did a wonderful job helping us to identify possible activities, and working with us to finalize our plans for our stay. Accommodations in our chalet were spacious yet cozy and inviting, the chef did a great job with the menu's we had selected. The various activities were fantastic - lots of fun for all. The logistics went like clockwork.
We have lived in Europe, and travel pretty regularly. We've used a number of different agencies in the past (and have planned a number of overseas trips ourselves since returning to the States). I'd highly recommend Jacada (and plan to reach out to them for future travel plans).
Overall they did a great job. Our only concerns were that most of the accommodations were mediocre, for our family. The accommodations may be amazing for others but for us, we wanted a little more. All the activities were amazing though.
Kate and the rest of the Jacada team have done a fabulous job in planning and executing our Christmas trip to Switzerland. Last year they did an extensive trip of Asia for us. No detail is to small. Each trip has special experiences. They use wonderful tour guides and provide great information prior to leaving
Sarah (Travel Designer) really listened to what we were looking for and designed a fantastic trip! Everything was seamless and she even caught an issue with flight timing on the one flight we had booked on our own. The activities and sights we were able to see because of Sarah’s careful planning were absolutely incredible! Her suggestions to include Laos provided us with one of our best travelling experiences yet and would not have happened if not for her expertise. Her hotel selections were also fantastic. Gilda (Concierge) could not have done a better job on her restaurant recommendations which allowed us to sample amazing local chefs and cuisine. We were also so happy with the regular check ins from Jacada to ensure everything was running smoothly. Thank you Sarah,Gilda and Jacada!
We had one problem while away, but Em made up for it with a sunrise hot air balloon ride. Jacada does a great job. We just got back from Namibia in October and have already booked another through them.
Jacada went above and beyond my expectations. They truly crafted our honeymoon trip to precisely fit our travel style. The itinerary they created was unlike anything I could have planned myself. I feel like they really got to know us as travelers and did everything in their power to ensure we had a perfect trip. Their little personal touches made it all the better too. I'm not sure when our next big trip will be, but I know we will use Jacada for it.
The trip was extremely well organized, the hotels were amazing and the local guides gave us a real sense for their country. We loved the suggested tours, in particular the food blog tour of Hanoi was outstanding. Rachel was really on target in arranging exactly what we had been looking for in a trip.
We traveled throughout Morocco in November of 2019 with the help of Jacada Travel. As this was our 25th Anniversary gift to ourselves, we wanted to leave behind some of the stresses of planning and trip and traveling in an unfamiliar environment, culture and language. Tess listened very carefully to the kind of experience we were looking for, and did a fantastic job working out an itinerary that met our personal style and tempo. Everything was top notch, and no detail went unattended. You can tell that Jacada seeks to provide the experience of a lifetime, and they surely did. We will never forget this experience!
All the arrangements were timely and perfect. As promised agents met us at every stop and took care of us, including Nairobi airport and Arusha airports. Even when we made last minute changes during the trip, the altered plans were executed timely. The other requirements of the Safari, the bread and butter steps were as promised “five star”.This is my first safari and as billed “once in a life time experience” was truly so and made memorable by Jacada travel.
