Places to combine Hotel Belvedere with

Lake Como
Located on the shimmering waters of Lake Como in the town of Menaggio, at the Grand Hotel Victoria, architectural heritage meets contemporary innovation in perfect harmony. Its character is shaped by two distinctive buildings: the Villa, a beautifully restored historic jewel, and the Palazzo, a striking modern creation. Together, they form a seamless dialogue between past and present.
Inside, the interiors reflect the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Each room is designed with a contemporary style and meticulous attention to detail. Many offer sweeping views over the lake as well as the towns of Bellagio and Varenna, while others overlook the hotel’s peaceful private gardens and shimmering pool, framed by the mountain peaks.
The hotel spa, spanning 1,200 square metres, is one of the largest wellness spaces on Lake Como. This serene retreat offers a heated indoor pool, Finnish and infrared saunas, steam baths, emotional showers, a salt room and calming areas dedicated to restoring body and mind.
Menus here honour regional traditions of Italy while embracing a creative touch, with dishes that are as beautiful to behold as they are to taste. Savour these culinary experiences in settings such as a sunlit veranda with lake views or the intimate atmosphere of the gourmet restaurant. Just beyond the main hotel lies Victoria Beach, a stylish beach club that offers two infinity pools with breathtaking views, restaurants and bars, a children’s play area and private lounging spaces.

Lake Como
The beautiful Villa d’Este is located at the southern end of Lake Como and was once the summer residence of Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio. Spread across the Cardinal’s Building and the Queen’s Pavilion, the hotel has lost none of its grandeur and is the perfect place to relax at the water’s edge.
Properties on Lake Como are famous for their beautiful gardens and Villa d’Este is no exception. It sits within 25 acres of grounds filled with sweet smelling roses and jasmine and magnolia, cypress and chestnut trees. Great care was taken during the restoration to maintain its character and charm, and each of the 152 rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques, vintage prints, silks and brocades. Many come with terraces or balconies so you can gaze out across the lake from the minute you wake up. There are also three private villas within the grounds.
The Verranda restaurant overlooks the lake and gardens and features glass windows that keep guests warm in the cooler months and disappear into the ground when the sun’s beating down. There is also a grill for a more informal dining experience and several bars and terraces. There are two outdoor pools, including one which juts out into the lake with an in-built Jacuzzi. The fitness and wellness centre with sauna and Turkish baths is the perfect place to relax, or if you fancy exploring then the hotel can arrange boat trips and scenic flights.
