Songa Tented Camp is nestled in the hilly outcrops of the northern serengeti. Enjoy your creature comforts while in exhilarating proximity to nature and wildlife. The camp’s prime position gives you front row seats to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration and the drama of the nearby Mara River crossings.

Songa consists of eight en-suite tents and a family tent with two rooms, joined by a living area. The decor of the tented suites and social areas is simple, in tune with the natural surroundings and with flashes of vibrancy in the soft furnishings. The materials used take inspiration from the seemingly endless inky blue skies and burnt orange sunsets of the wilderness. Set up as a split camp, there is also the option to book one side of Songa on an exclusive basis.

At Songa you’re in the thick of the action with sounds and sights of nature just outside your tent. Adventure on daily game drives to find the abundant wildlife that resides in the endless savannahs. If you visit between July and October particularly you’ll have the best chance of catching the famed Mara River crossings as the wildebeest follow the rains in search of greener pastures. We recommend trying a hot air balloon safari here. Your birds-eye view down onto prides of lions, immense herds of wildebeest and masses of other creatures gives you a privileged insight into their world.

Serian Lamai is a traditional tented camp in the Serengeti National Park, just one kilometer from the Mara River above crossing point four. This allows guests access to the Great Migration river crossings.
