Blending into its natural surrounds, Olakira Camp keeps you close to the migration action on this mobile tented adventure. Raw and authentic, the camp features nine stargazing tents, including one family tent, and moves twice a year to follow the shifting seasons of the herds and their predators, ensuring you get ringside seats for all the safari drama.

From December to March, Olakira witnesses the fantastic spectacle of thousands of animals calving in the great grassy plains of the Southern Serengeti. A superb team of highly trained guides take you on daily game drives and walks to watch lions and cheetahs stalk their prey. As the dry days of winter arrive, Olakira relocates north to the confluence of the Mara and Bolongonja rivers for spectacular game viewing at the Mara River itself.

Olakira’s nine tents have a unique design so that a portion boasts a 270-degree view from beneath a mesh area, offering you an outdoor experience whilst still remaining indoors and the flexibility have your bed rolled into the meshed area for a magical experience of sleeping beneath the stars.

The mess and dining tents echo the style and ambience of the rooms, with panoramic views of the sprawling Serengeti plains. Spend the afternoon relaxing in an armchair in the mess area or get comfortable under the shade of the surrounding trees and simply watch the game pass by. When darkness falls, dinner is served either under canvas or beneath a glittering canopy of stars in a small clearing close by, accompanied by the night sounds of the bush.
