When done right, travel can transform. Our journeys have the potential to shape not just our own perspective but the places we visit and people we encounter along the way.
The question that guides us at Jacada is: what if we could do better? What if we see travel itself as a way to bring lasting and measurable positive impact?
We hold ourselves to high standards. That means evaluating every aspect of the journeys we arrange: how we choose our partners, how we measure our carbon footprint, how we approach our marketing – and how we seek to share knowledge across the industry, allowing us to move forward together.
Today we face a hard truth: good intentions are not enough. We need concrete frameworks and to measure success through data, accountability and long-term change.

Setting new standards
A vision for a new kind of travel starts with collaboration. We’re proud to have worked with various experts and NGOs. Among them, World Animal Protection, an NGO creating innovative solutions to help safeguard wild animals from cruelty, and ChildSafe, who work to protect vulnerable children and youth, helped develop our Positive Impact Principles.
From day one, we’ve carefully hand-selected our local partners. Favouring smaller DMCs based in-country, we’re proud to work with some incredible organisations that share our values and passion. Together we continually strive to re-evaluate our actions and choices.
Each year, our team also travel on research trips to their regions of expertise. During these trips they are required to review every part of the journey, flagging any experiences and activities that do not meet our expectations.
Joining forces to achieve global goals
When it comes to tackling global challenges, we’re stronger together. A deep commitment to responsible travel means working alongside like-minded businesses and continuing to educate ourselves on best practices, demonstrating transparency and accountability at every stage.
We’ve always believed a firm focus on cross-sector collaboration drives our ability to enact positive change, and we’re a proud member of the Conscious Travel Foundation.

Trailblazing methodology to audit and benchmark
While all of the properties we sell operate responsibly – and the vast majority contribute some portion of their profits to a charitable cause – we wanted to highlight those that place solving social and environmental issues at the core of their purpose and vision.
In 2024, this came to life through the launch of the Positive Impact Collection.
Initially the collection featured more than 100 properties, each meticulously evaluated and scored through our proprietary methodology set around three key pillars: community, climate and conservation. Their impact goals are strategic, large-scale and ultimately aim to transform their local area for the better.
Experiences were added in June 2025. Each one was reviewed through the lens of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as against our principles, in collaboration with partners in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. These experiences are transformative, nonlinear and shaped by those who live them. They tackle global challenges and address a range of critical environmental and social issues.
Committing to decarbonisation
What can’t be measured cannot be improved. That’s why we have started working with a third-party carbon accountancy organisation, who are helping us to measure our carbon footprint across our entire supply chain. This allows us to track our emissions both within our offices, as well as on the trips that we create. Our climate action strategy in the lead up to 2030 includes a combination of carbon reductions and carbon offsets, which we will be rolling out over the next year.

Building education and awareness
Raising collective awareness and advocating for change requires us to constantly listen and learn – continually adapting our approach.
Regular training and education opportunities ensure our team has a deep understanding of positive impact travel. Our Product Managers have all received the official certification in Sustainable Tourism from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), and are empowered to ensure that every aspect of our operations aligns with the highest internationally recognised standards of environmental and social responsibility.
We also hold the Queer Destinations Committed Distinction, an international standard for safety, quality and excellence for LGBTQ+ travellers.
