Les Crayères

You’ll find this beautiful luxury hotel in the heart of Reims, right on the doorstep of Notre-Dame de Reims. Besides its iconic surroundings, the building itself is steeped in history. Inaugurated in 1926, it once served as the city’s central fire station. When the fire station was relocated the building stood empty from 1993 until 2019 when La Caserne Chanzy Hôtel & Spa opened its doors.

The interiors are the work of Julie Fuillet Studio and have been inspired by the Champagne vineyards and the sparkling character of the popular drink. Think neutral tones, raw materials and organic textures. You don’t even need to leave your room to soak up the atmosphere of this sublime region.

Enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant La Grande Georgette. The brasserie’s name is a nod to the original fire engine which, as the story goes, would be name after the captain’s wife. Head to the automobile museum in Reims and you can see the 1920s Delahave truck itself.
