    Lango Lodge

A rainforest hideaway beside a pristine baï
Wide view of Lango Lodge's round wooden viewing platform and thatched-roof buildings

An intimate oasis in the heart of Odzala-Kokoua National Park

Experience the wonders of the Congolese wetlands at Lango Lodge, where you only have to step outside to see roaming wildlife. Located directly above the Lango baï – a marshy and mineral-rich clearing in the middle of the rainforest – the lodge’s wooden viewing deck offers front-row views of the forest elephants, buffaloes and bongos (striped antelope) that are drawn to this life-giving ecosystem.

Lango Lodge’s six bungalows are delightfully cosy and perfectly positioned amid the trees around the baï. They’re connected via wooden walkways to the common areas, where you can fuel up with delicious cuisine before setting out on guided walks through the wilderness. In addition to large mammals, you’re likely to spot primates, crocodiles and colourful birds like the African green pigeon and grey parrot.

Part of the magic of Lango Lodge lies in the two-hour journey to reach it, which involves both kayaking and trekking through the wetlands. Its proximity to Ngaga Lodge and Mboko Lodge – all part of the Kamba portfolio – allows you to complement a few nights here with gorilla tracking and river cruises at its sister lodges.
