Gunn’s Camp

Overlooking the legendary Chiefs Island and close to the Moremi Game Reserve, Gunn’s Camp is one of the last few remaining luxury old school safari camps left in the Delta.

Set on raised platforms under leafy palms and African Ebony, there are just six fully furnished, deluxe Meru tents with en-suite bathrooms, standalone baths and outside private showers. Everything you need and nothing extraneous to detract from the wild setting.

The tents are connected to the main camp via a raised wooden walkway crossing the wetlands, lit at night by a series of fairylike lanterns. At the other end you’ll find an elevated bar, lounge and dining room, campfire boma and swimming pool.

Surrounded by water, mokoro trips into the Delta for an exhilarating bush walk and picnic lunch are a mainstay. Explore the wilderness on foot with your own personal guide with a chance to see game without the restrictions of a vehicle. It’s also possible to camp out on nearby islands overnight for an unforgettable African night.
