Growing up on a farm in rural Canada, I developed a lifelong love for nature and wildlife, surrounded by open spaces and animals that sparked my curiosity about the world. At 17, I took my first independent overseas trip, and from that moment, the travel bug had bitten – igniting a passion for exploring new cultures, landscapes, and adventures. My sense of adventure has taken me hiking along rugged trails, paragliding over the breathtaking coastline of Cape Town and seeking out experiences that both challenge and inspire me.
My love for Africa began in South Africa, witnessing the Big Five in their natural habitat, and has since carried me across the continent – from safaris in East Africa and gorilla and chimpanzee treks in Uganda, to Botswana’s Okavango Delta, the thunder of Victoria Falls and beyond. Through these journeys, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of myself and the world, discovering how travel can make the globe feel smaller and connect people in extraordinary ways.

My most memorable trip
Uganda
My most memorable trip was my gorilla trek in Uganda. This was always my bucket list trip and it exceeded my expectations when the silverback decided he wanted to get past me and gently “moved” me out of his way to get through the jungle.
On my bucket list
The Seychelles
This is on my bucket list as I love the pristine untouched beaches and wonderful water activities such as scuba diving, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are a number of islands to explore so it makes an incredible destination for a stand alone holiday or even a few nights at the end of a memorable safari holiday.

Best destination for families
South Africa
South Africa is incredible for families of all ages. It really encompasses the best of both worlds with family friendly activities in and around Cape Town such as penguins, bike rides and hiking to world-class safaris in malaria free areas such as Madikwe.

My favourite hotel
Wilderness Jao
Wilderness Jao! The attention to detail and architecture is stunning with bright, open rooms looking out to the plains where you can watch elephants, buffalo and various antelope walk past. The staff are incredibly welcoming and down to earth and the food was some of the best I have ever had! There is no other place like it.
