    Elephant Hills

African style safari tents in Khao Sok National Park

Elephant Hills, comprised of The Elephant Camp and Rainforest Camp, is pioneering resort in Thailand, taking the concept of African style safari tents and setting them in the pristine jungle environment of Khao Sok National Park.

The Elephant Camp comprises 35 luxury tents set in the forest while the stunning floating Rainforest Camp, two hours away, is situated on the emerald green waters of Cheow Larn Lake.

Elephant Hills is currently home to 12 Asian Elephants. Many of these magnificent pachyderms have been working in the logging industry until this was banned by law in 1989. There is no elephant riding here, rather a much more interactive and respectful option to encounter these phenomenal pachyderms. Guests get up close with our elephants, watching them enjoy an extensive bath in the big elephant mud pool, and then use coconut fibers to scrub the gentle giants clean again, before preparing and feeding them one of their daily meals.

Other activities include canoe excursions out onto the lake’s waters, guided jungle hikes and cultural tours experience the local culture.
