Rimba Lodge

Orang-utans, eco-friendly and deep in the rainforest
The natural, remote location of Rimba Lodge is clear the moment you arrive. Gliding into the jetty by boat – the only way to access the lodge – you are welcomed into the jungle by the resident macaques and probiscis monkeys.
Your days here are spent waking to birdsong and the cry of gibbons before travelling by klokok – a wooden boat – to meet fascinating orang-utans in the wild. Meanwhile, nights can be enjoyed on safaris spotting tarsiers and the vibrant visions of fireflies and glowing mushrooms.
Perched right on the Sekonyer River, bordering the Tanjung Puting National Park, this eco timber lodge houses five raised pavillions which include clean, comfortable rooms plus a restaurant serving tasty local meals.
