When to visit Peru
While Peru can be a year round destination, it’s important to consider seasonality if you’re hoping to see Machu Picchu or enjoy some of the country’s incredible hiking. The best time to visit Machu Picchu is from May to September, when clear skies offer a high chance of dry days and spectacular views. If you want to hike the Inca Trail, bear in mind that it closes for the month of February due to the typical heavy rain that falls during this time.
if you’re heading to the Peruvian Amazon, then the high water season between November and May is the best time for an Amazon cruise as it allows you to explore deeper into the jungle.
