I got my first taste of South America travelling from Buenos Aires through Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. I loved it so much I decided to live there, returning to Buenos Aires in 2009 to teach English, learn Spanish and write travel articles.

Spending a great deal of my time in BA sampling the excellent cuisine the city has to offer, I also found the time for side trips to Iguassu Falls, Uruguay and Brazil, where I spent a month in search of the best beaches and the perfect caipirinha.

Aside from enjoying the wine and steak lifestyle in Buenos Aires, I had the chance to explore the rest of Argentina in depth. I travelled across the Pampas to Mendoza, before heading south to discover the hiking trails and ranches of Patagonia, ‘the land of the giants’.

In fact, it was trekking through Torres del Paine that I decided I wanted to work as a travel expert, sharing my experiences and knowledge of this incredible continent.

Although recent adventures have taken me north into the Arctic and through Central America, it’s Patagonia that has still remained very close to my heart.

Ask me about hiking, wildlife, restaurants and soccer.
