The lodge is situated in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest at the junction of the Atnarko, Talchako and Bella Coola Valleys, with some 600m of river frontage and stunning views to the aptly named Mt. Stupendous and Mt. Mellikan. Its exceptional location has been a favourite place for local First Nations people to camp and fish for thousands of years, and with grizzly bears long before that.
Nine wooden chalets are comfortable forest retreats, some with space for children, all spacious with living space, air-conditioning, en suite bathrooms and local artwork. All of the chalets are built surrounding a giant central lawn and have excellent views and lots of privacy
The main lodge building is the central location for socializing, with a large lounge and dining room where the culinary team serve up an international style cuisine with a West Coast twist. There’s also a well-stocked bar, an inviting rock fireplace, and a games area. Close by you’ll find a spa building with yoga room, gym and a hot tub with a fabulous view.
Explore the great outdoors of this enchanting rainforest on an array of adventure activities. Free activities here include watching bears from the wildlife viewing platform that overlooks the river (grizzly bears are often seen feeding on salmon in September and October), a range of hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing, slack lining, swimming, tubing, archery and even frisbee golf. Extra activities, many of which are included as part of packages here, range from river safaris, fjord cruises and guided walks to helicopter flights, horse riding, First Nation experiences and more.
Whatever you want your luxury tour or safari itinerary to include, we’ll create something fully bespoke for you… and only you.
