    The Knickerbocker

Luxury in the heart of Times Square

The Knickerbocker occupies one of the best locations in New York, sat on the corner of Broadway and 42nd Street and overlooking the bright lights of Times Square. The likes of J D Rockefeller and F Scott Fitzgerald used to gather here in what was known as the 42nd Street Country Club, and it is said that within its four walls is where the first ever Martini was drunk.

The building’s original Beaux Arts facade remains unchanged but inside it has been transformed into a modern luxury hotel. In contrast to the colour of its surroundings, the hotel is characterised by soft muted tones and sleek wooden furnishings. Each of its 330 rooms and suites come with a 55-inch Samsung TV and a Samsung tablet for use during your stay.

Juts a short walk from the Rockefeller Centre and Bryant Park, The Knickerbocker is the perfect base from which to explore New York. One of the best places to experience the city is from the hotel’s rooftop bar, a space filled with ivy-covered walls and lush planting from where you can see Manhattan moving in full swing below, surrounded by the square’s iconic billboards.

The hotel’s fine dining restaurant is nestled in the corner on the fourth floor, offering spectacular views over Times Square and serving up modern American cuisine by renowned chef, Charlie Palmer. There is also a cafe and coffee shop for crabbing a cup of Joe on the go and during the week you can catch some of the city’s most talented jazz musicians in the lounge.
