In Style Farmhouse
Tranquil hideaway with stunning countryside views
- Eight rooms
- Horse stables
- Horse riding through the surrounding valley
Hidden behind tall wooden doors on an unassuming street on the edge of town, In Style Farmhouse is a tranquil hideaway with spectacular views over the surrounding Santa Rosa Valley.
The original finca was built in the mid 19th century and was the home of the De Veylder-Pons family. The site has been expanded and today features eight spacious rooms, simple in design but full of traditional charm. Large wooden doors lead into the rooms which feature terracotta floors, woven quilts on the bed and large en-suite bathrooms with lots of natural light and colourful walls. Each room is air conditioned and en-suite and has a pretty private sitting area outside with table, chairs, rocking chairs and sometimes even a hammock. The large garden and back yard looks out on the ruins of a colonial fort and although it boasts a large swimming pool, local water conservancy regulations have banned private swimming pools. WiFi is available for a small additional charge.
Also within the complex are stables, home to ten beautiful horses. The animals are incredibly well taken care of and a ride out into the surrounding valley past abandoned sugar mills is a real highlight. There are horses to suit all abilities and the ride is a great opportunity to get out into the countryside. You’ll past farm houses, crop fields and plenty of chickens and piglets crossing your path.
