Carmenere Eco Hotel

In the quiet residential area of Providencia, close to Lastarria, Bella Vista and Barrio Italia, the Carmenere is a small boutique hotel in a converted 1930s townhouse.

There are just five comfortable bedrooms, each named after Chilean wine valleys – Maipo, Casablanca, Aconcagua, Colchagua and Curico, the latter of which opens out onto the green garden.

The rest of the house is cosy, with original parquet flooring, large communal living areas and there’s a wine cellar to try out a wonderful range of artisanal organic wines, cheeses and olive oils. Food and products here are similarly natural or organic and sourced from local suppliers.
