Offering a comfortable and friendly base from which to discover one of the most individual islands in the world, the newly-built Hare UTA with only nine standalone rooms, offers one of the most intimate stays here on Easter Island.
Four rooms overlook the gardens of the hotel and the other five have sunset views; all are furnished in pale shades aiding the bright, airy atmosphere afforded by the floor-to-ceiling windows. There’s Wi-Fi available and decks from which to soak up the surroundings.
The organic vegetable garden provides the produce for the kitchen, and the cuisine is inspired by traditional cooking. For a really special meal, guests can go fishing – using traditional methods – for their own catch-of-the-day, which will be barbecued back at the hotel.
After a day hiking around the island and visiting the famous Moai, guests can retreat to Hare UTA’s spa, where local materials like volcanic soil and pink sand are used in various treatments from aromatherapy massages to reflexology.
