One of the most enigmatic, intriguing and isolated locations on earth, Easter Island, or Rapa Nui, is like a beautiful outdoor museum. Set in the middle of the Pacific, midway between Chile and Tahiti, the island’s allure revolves around the mysterious giant stone Moai statues.

This truly is one of the most unique places on the planet and is in a beautiful setting with brilliant blue Pacific water, beaches and volcanic craters.

Aside from exploring and admiring the work of the ancient culture of the island, there are a wealth of reasons to visit, including snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing, trekking, mountain biking and simply relaxing on the beach.

When to go

In November you can enjoy the island when it is more remote and tranquil, yet rainfall is still low. Though busier in January until the beginning of March, you can enjoy a dip in the warm waters of the Pacific.
