Hotel El Amauta

In the northern village of Purmamarca, the Hotel El Amauta has a warm and rustic feel to it, with exposed stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings.

There are nine rooms and each has views across the hills of rural Purmamarca. The double superior rooms have balconies, but for those needing a bit more space, the suite is the best option, with its living room, bathroom featuring a whirlpool, and two terraces.

Handicrafts are taught onsite, and there’s a masseuse for those who have just finished a long journey – or those about to depart on one! Trekking is available and the hotel is also close to the main square.
