Located in the ancient village of Urgup, surrounded by the famous fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, you’ll discover a unique and historic cave hotel, which is seemingly carved into the cliff face of a dramatic mountain. Yunak Evleri presents a truly unique experience, consisting of seven cave houses, dating as far back as the 5th and 6th centuries, and a Greek mansion from the 19th century. This mesmerising place truly immerses you in the history and the landscape of the area.
Amongst the cave houses, guests will discover a choice of 46 private cave rooms, accessed via a labyrinth of narrow passageways and curved stone stairways, all leading you to uniquely designed and furnished spaces. Shrouded in authenticity and history, the hotel’s furnishings and decor create a warm, homely and traditional atmosphere, with features such as marble floors, handcrafted lace curtains, antique chests, traditional bed covers and old brass bedsteads. The exposed stone walls of the caves are easily the most striking feature of each room, allowing guests to feel encased in the history and identity of this breathtaking setting.
Yunak Evleri also boasts a special restaurant, presenting the chance for rooftop dining on delicious local cuisine, including traditional dishes of Cappadocia, like pottery kebab. Guests can achieve full rejuvenation during their time at the hotel, courtesy of the wonderful on-site spa, offering a range of treatments, such as traditional Balinese and Thai methods. Guests can also make the most of an inviting swimming pool, presenting the perfect place for a refreshing dip in the Turkish sunshine.
