Palazza Seneco is located within a beautifully restored 16th-century palace in the picturesque town of Norcia, nestled within the Sibillini Mountains National Park.
During the restoration, great care was taken to preserve the rich history of the building, the result of which is a gorgeous and timeless hotel. There are just 24 rooms, elegant in design with a mix of artisan and antique furnishings. Each room is different, but all are impeccably styled.
One of the highlights of a stay at Palazza Seneco is dining at the Michelin-starred Vespasia restaurant. This is where tradition meets innovation and where the menu tells the story of the land, relying on local producers and seasonal ingredients to help the dishes sing. Choose to dine in the intimate fireplace room or outside between the lemon house and the old stable, overlooking the garden.
If it’s relaxation you’re after, then head down to the wellness area with its vaulted ceilings and ancient stone floors. Here you’ll find massage beds, a hot tub, Turkish bath and sauna. For those eager to get out and explore, there is the option to cycle and walk through the Sibillini Mountains or go in search of the region’s famous black truffle. Foodies will love the opportunity to take part in a cooking class or head out to visit a local cheesemaker.
