Right in the heart of the city, between the Villa Borghese gardens and Tiber, a thorough restoration has converted a 19th century nobleman’s palace into an elegant boutique hotel.
True to its name, the First Luxury Art Hotel Roma has communal spaces, strictly black and white, packed with an array of contemporary paintings and sculptures that form permanent and temporary exhibits. The whole property treads a line perfectly between luxurious refinement and unapologetic comfort.
29 rooms, encircling a light-flooded central atrium with white wrought-iron balustrades, have warmer and more colourful interiors, with some of the suites featuring separate living areas and Jacuzzi tubs. Each room also contains a veritable library of art books and artworks, all by local artists and all purchasable.
Up on the roof is an unashamedly stylish roof garden with a bar and dining space making the most of the surrounding views. A highlight of the hotel is it’s restaurant, the Michelin-starred All’Oro, where chef Riccardo Di Giacinto masterfully merges traditional Italian dishes with modern culinary innovation.
Just a short walk from the Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, and The Spanish Steps, the First Luxury Art Hotel Roma is the ideal base to explore Rome. Guests can shop at the city’s best boutiques and art galleries with assistance from the hotel’s very own personal shopper or book time with the hotels cultural manager for a tour of local monuments.
