A typically stylish addition to J.K.'s roster
- 30 bedrooms and suites
- J.K. Place Cafe restaurant
- Rooftop bar
- Library and lounge
Housed in the grand old building that was previously the home of the Architectural School of a University of Rome, the J.K. Place Roma drips with taste, with original 17th century features and striking communal areas packed with an eclectic collection of art, sculpture and furniture, both antique and modern.
Former classrooms have been elegantly transformed into 30 bedrooms and suites, all with wood panelling, Italian marble bathrooms, Massimo Listri photography, mid-century furniture and bold splashes of colour. The largest Master Rooms come in at a vast 46 square metres (500 square feet).
The J.K. Place Cafe is a bold statement of an interior, but the venue is an informal place for a meal of modernised and hearty Italian classics. The signature burger – home-made brioche bun, Piedmont Fassone beef, Tuscan bacon and cheddar – and the brunch are real highlights. The wood panelled bar down here does wonderful cocktails. For a panoramic view, venture up to the roof top for more drinks.
On a side street off the bustling Via Condotti, the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Villa Medici are all just a short walk away.
