In the idyllic coastal village of Gerolimenas at the southern end of Laconia’s Mani Peninsula, Kyrimai Hotel sits by the gently lapping waves of the clear bay.
Formerly an elegant dockside complex that dates back to the 1870s, the old store, residence, the warehouse and the imposing tower have been restored into a gem of a boutique hotel that is still owned by the Kyrimis family.

There are 22 rooms, including a handful of suites and even a room the occupies the tower which has fabulous panoramic views of the village and sea. All the rooms have air conditioning and are furnished with antiques, with some enjoying features such as balconies, fireplaces and jacuzzi bathtubs.

Kyrimai prides itself on its cuisine, with creative seasonal Mediterranean fare to be enjoyed on waterside terrace or the candlelit dining room by a roaring fire in the winter months.

You’re well located here to explore the region’s rugged coastline and collection of historic sites, but this is mostly a place for romance and relaxation. You can sunbathe on the old jetty, swim in the sea or sparkling pool and wander around the sleepy village, perhaps learning about its history in the hotel’s old wine storage room which now holds a treasure trove of artifacts.
