Saint Tropez has long been associated with the rich and famous, and when the Hotel de Paris St Tropez opened its doors in 1931, it fast became the place to see and be seen. Its guest book was filled with names from Jean Cocteau to Coco Chanel and Clark Gable and today, it has lost none of its appeal.
The hotel’s rooms and suites are inspired by the designs of the fifties and sixties, with vivid colours, bold patterns and statement furniture. The bathrooms are equally chic with beautiful shimmering mosaic tiles. Some of the larger suites are dedicated to female icons such as Bridget Bardot, Ava Gardner and Rita Hayworth and come with their own terrace and Jacuzzi.
Satisfy your taste buds with traditional Italian cuisine, enjoyed on the patio when the sun is shining. Alternatively head to the top floor for sushi and drinks while enjoying the views across the rooftops out towards the Mediterranean sea. When it’s simple refreshment you’re after, the bar serves everything from healthy smoothies to champagne and cocktails.
The rooftop pool is one of the hotel’s real highlights, suspended 15m above the bar, this fully transparent glass structure is totally unique and a great place to relax and gaze out over the city. There is also a Clarins spa with a sensory shower, sauna, Turkish bath, ice fountain and a nail bar.
