The Arctic Light Hotel Rovaniemi
A magical escape in Finnish Lapland
- 57 rooms and suites
- Explore the magical surroundings of Lapland
The Arctic Light Hotel Rovaniemi fully captures the spirit of the capital of Finnish Lapland. Functioning in its initial years as the City Hall, the boutique hotel opened its doors in 2015 and its unique setting is sure to steal both your heart and your imagination.
Almost all of the town was destroyed during the Second World War, and the rebuilding of the City Hall was one of the main projects for the local architects. Many of the details have been preserved and the hotel is full of character and history.
The hotels feature 57 rooms, including four themed suites and six Aurora Lofts each with their own touch of Arctic magic. Each room is individually designed with design touches inspired by Lappish culture, light and nature. Family-friendly Polar Rooms are ideal for group holidays while the Aurora Lofts and the Christmas Cabins are special adventures in themselves.
The kitchen at The Arctic Boulevard is inspired by the ocean and the forest. Wild berries, herbs and vegetables create a balanced and seasonal menu with game and seafood from the northern forests, the lakes of Lapland and the Arctic Ocean. Lasiterassi is a great lounge venue for a chilled evening in its wintergarden.
