The Lanesborough

The Lanseborough reopened in 2015 after an extensive refurbishment and guests can now appreciate it in all its Georgian splendour.

Great care was taken to maintain the hotel’s traditional charm and a team of dedicated craftsmen used age-old techniques to create each room’s unique ceiling. Ornamental plaster, stencilling, gold leaf and hand-painted troupe l’oeil effects all combine to create opulent rooms with a distinct style.

Furniture and fabrics have been sourced from British suppliers to celebrate the country’s heritage, and throughout the hotel you’ll find typically English touches. Dining here is a real treat; take a seat under the glass roof of Céleste and enjoy a creative menu using local, seasonal produce. When you need to take shelter from the British weather, hole up in the library bar with its leather-bound books, roaring fire and selection of vintage cognacs.

Located on the corner of Hyde Park, you’re ideally situated to take in London’s sights. Knightsbridge, Buckingham Palace and the city’s world-class museums and galleries are on your doorstep as well as the park itself, home to the Serpentine Lake and Speakers’ Corner.
