Anna of Zanzibar

Located on a white beaches of Zanzibar’s east coast, an hour’s drive from Stone Town, Anna of Zanzibar is a laid back, boutique resort with personal service.

There are just five villas spread out around the tropical garden, each with views directly onto the Indian Ocean, a separate lounge area, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. Three villas are also family villas with extra beds in the airconditioned lounge.

Interiors reflect Zanzibar’s unique mixture of cultures, with elegant colonial furniture over rich Arabian textiles and colourful African fabrics to Portuguese porcelain. The main guest area includes a bar, shisha lounge, library, dining room and grand verandah that overlooks the pool and the ocean, a great spot for sundowners. Cuisine here also blends cultures with sumptuous lunches, fresh seafood barbeque on the beach and wonderful evening dining in the private restaurant.?

There is a small spa for some pampering between swimming and snorkelling in the warm Indian Ocean, exploring the local area by bicycle, and cultural excursions to nearby towns and villages. Deep sea fishing, diving and kite surfing can also be arranged.
