A rather earthily designed lodge perched up high on a natural plateau above the Musabi plains in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, this lodge offers you some marvellous views and excellent service to compliment your safari in this lovely park. Wooden interiors make the lodge a warm and welcoming space and with interesting decor that reflects its location you can really feel quite at home here and can use it as a luxurious base from which to explore this part of the park. Game is drawn to the region due to the various trickles of water and tributaries that span the lands and is therefore good for wildlife all year round. If you are on the hunt for the migration, June and July is the best time of year as the wildebeest and zebra are forced to move up and will eventually cross the Grumeti River.
The lodge is a little bit larger than some of the smaller camps available in the area with 25 thatched chalets all beautifully furnished with fantastic views over the open plains below. Five of these are suites which are simply larger extensions of the other luxury chalets which are built with a combination of thatching, canvas, wood and glass creating a contemporary sanctuary for you to relax in. They all have their own private balcony but the suites have their own lounge area that offers a bit more space and exclusivity. The main area has a charming lounge and fireplace decking with spectacular views and if you fancy a refreshing dip then you can always make use of the infinity pool. Back in the lodge when the game vehicles have all returned, you could make use of the spa facilities that they also have with treatments that can be enjoyed in the privacy of your own chalet of balcony.
