Resembling a typical manor house straight out of the English home counties with its coral-pink and white Victorian facades, manicured gardens, ponds, terraces, and pools, Shamwari’s Long Lee maintains a more period style of stay.
Fifteen very comfortable if not more contemporary styled rooms compared to the buildings exteriors, are accompanied by such gladdening amenities as two swimming pools, a spa, gym, steam room and a temperature-controlled wine cellar. The spacious rooms lead out to a large patio with spectacular views over the reserve.
Originally built in 1910, this wonderfully restored Edwardian manor house overlooks the sweeping plains teaming with wildlife. Enticing meals are savoured in the charming boma, under the Pepper Tree or in the main dining room.
The manor’s staff go out of their way to make sure all guests feel at home, with no detail overlooked. Families can be accommodated in the Garden Suites and child minding is available.
