Embark upon a dhow based safari amongst the 32 islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago, one of the last remote parts of the Africa’s coastline, to discover its unique culture and stunning seascapes.
Under the expert eye of a professional guide and local crew, snorkel off deserted white sandbanks into clear blue seas, kayak through mangroves and explore charming fishing villages, camping overnight on secluded islands and beaches. The chef prepares succulent seafood in the evenings, grilled on an open fire.
The Quirimbas Archipelago remains untouched, with the waters surrounding Ibo island hosting a protected marine reserve with sea turtles nesting nearby. Humpback whales have also been known to visit the region between July and November.
Standard recommended minimum itinerary includes four nights’ island hopping by dhow and three nights at Ibo Island Lodge – but you are free to tailor make your perfect adventure.
