House on the Beach

This idyllic family-owned property is located in Tiwi on Kenya’s southern coast, its elevated position offering sweeping views over the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean.

There are just four en-suite bedrooms in the houses, as well as a garden cottage which sleeps two, making this a wonderfully secluded place to stay.

Lush, tropical gardens lead down towards the powder white sands of Tiwi Beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the more renownded spots to the south and north. At low tide, the reef is exposed providing an opportunity to look for a variety of marine life.

There is also a swimming pool, as well as a ancient coral cave nearby with natural holes through which you can look up at the sky – this is a wonderfully unique place to enjoy dinner.
