The clue is in the name but here at Savute, wild elephants really are part of the camp experience, being so close to the waterhole and river where the animals choose to congregate in this, the Savute area of Chobe National Park.
Twelve beautifully elegant and well-equipped luxury tents sit well spaced apart in amongst a line of trees. Each has its own large private terrace complete with easy chairs, a hammock and binoculars for optimal viewings of the wildlife that surrounds you here. En suite bathrooms, traditional period-style furniture, luxury linens and a real sense of cushioned seclusion, makes it a deluxe safari stay with privileged twist of adventure given the location.
A traditional boma and attractive shared lounge and library encourage you to really get into the communal camp spirit, and where you can discuss your day’s sightings with other guests around a dining table, a roaring camp fire or a round of gin and tonics.
