This charming safari lodge, owner-run and managed, sits atop an escarpment of the Chobe Forest Reserve giving great views over the floodplains and with just eleven pleasantly appointed safari bungalows, also delivers an intimate and personal safari experience.
Positioned in the quieter western territory of the Chobe National Park your thatched bungalow (all refurbished in 2011), which gives you great views and comfortable furnishings, steps up the feeling of privacy and solitude even more. Whilst not the most luxurious lodge in the park, Muchenje certainly has a more relaxed and down-to-earth feel.
The main lodge has a lovely sitting and dining area with fantastic views over the floodplains and Chobe River, an authentic fire pit for swapping stories with other guests, a curio shop and swimming pool. There is also a family bungalow that sleeps four.
Enjoy daily game drives, the option of night and river safaris, plus the added bonus of bush walks given that you are in a private concession.
