Located on the ruggedly beautiful Patagonian coast south of Peninsula Valdes this is a unique and very-much of the beaten track location. The small town was founded many years ago by a small Estancia to harvest the seaweed in the area. More recently the area has been accepting guests drawn by the greatest diversity of seabirds in Patagonia with 21 breeding colonies. Birds in the area include Steamer Ducks, Magellan Penguins and Chilean Flamingos amongst many others. Marine life is also abundant in the crystal clear waters with many sealions commonplace and Orca's and dolphins often spotted. The bay is dotted with small islets and white sandy beaches making a beautiful place to explore.
