Calchaqui
The Calchaqui Valley is a grand and ancient landscape set to the south of Salta City. It's home to the elegant colonial towns of Cachi and Molinos with a large Hacienda (formerly owned by the colonial governor of Salta) and an impressive church. Indeed, the surrounds and ambiance are the real attractions here with stunning, ochre and red rock formations forming a the backdrop to sleepy villages and a culture which has remained the same for centuries.
