A frontier city at the end of the world, Ushuaia has grand appeal of really being on the last outpost of civilisation before the icy sweeps of the Antarctic. Although the surrounding national park and nature are beautiful, the reason for many visitors here is the Beagle channel and the opportunity to take one of the boat trips that explore the waters and islets of this most dramatic of coastlines.
