North West of Cusco, the Sacred Valley is one of the most beautiful and historically important parts of Peru. The Valley was one of the bases of Inca civilisation, the river that winds its way through believed to be aligned with the Cosmos.
Several of the Inca's finest works were built in this region making it a fantastic place to visit and take in the ancient culture of Peru. The valley is also home to many indigenous people living in the same traditions as they have been for centuries and it's possible to visit local markets and communities as well as the many magnificent Inca Ruins built along the length of the valley.
This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the rich culture of Peru in a beautiful setting.
May through October are the driest months, though the valley can be visited all year round.
