Laikipia Plateau

Technically part of the Great Rift Valley, the Laikipia Plateau is on the eastern escarpment and is home to an important ecosystem that is home to large wildlife populations including a quite a few endangered species such as the black rhino. Sightings of this magnificent creature can be ticked off with pride as you scour the landscapes for the black shape that might, might just be a boulder but might, might just be a black rhino scuffling in the dust. Another exciting creature to keep your eyes out for are large pack of wild dog which can be seen hiding under the shade of the acacia (akay-sha) trees dotted around.

All of the accommodation is on private land and concessions due to the way that the area was divided for conservation purposes and is now sporting some of the most exclusive properties in Kenya. Each one boasts privacy and exclusive game experiences which are relatively unrivalled.
