The Machu Picchu Train

There is no better, more stylish, or comfortable way to travel to the misty Lost City of the Incas than by train.

Departing from Poroy station just outside Cusco and traversing the Peruvian landscape for just under 4 hours you arrive at the town of Aguacalientes, a short drive from the ancient citadel. There are other stops along the route such as in the Sacred Valley or at Urubamba from where you can hop on or off depending on your time and itinerary - which we can help you create and to your exact specifications.

Below you will find the two locomotive options available: the oh-so romantic Hiram Bingham train or the Vistadome.

When to go

The citadel can be visited all year round though May to October are the driest months

Why we love it

Travel to the one of the Seven Wonders of the World with all the glamour, romance and luxury of the 1920s

What to do

Just sit back and relax
